Elizabeth and James Blouse

PussyBow Blouse

I'm having a real moment for one of my favorite style of blouses, the pussybow blouse! Dress it up, or dress it down, the pussybow blouse works wonders every time with its edge of modernity and femininity. The style below, worn by one of my super chic clients, is a Kate Moss for Equipment signature slim blouse.  I love the novelty hearts on this oneperfect for Valentine's Day and every other day of the year.

I styled this leopard print version of the same blouse on beauty Kellee Meadows for the September issue of SouthPark Magazine

In October Melania Trump ironically wore a pussybow blouse to the first presidential debate following the release of her husband's now famous comments of disrespect caught on mic. Perhaps poor timing, her silk hot pink Gucci blouse was otherwise quite lovely.

Here's another client in her vibrant bird print Elizabeth and James tie neck blouse.  I think it looks fantastic with denim and these Rag and Bone Newbury booties, or she can dress it up for work with a skirt and tights.

And, (but of course!), a few of my own pussybow blouses.  I wear my creme Theory blouse with everything from jeans to trousers to skirts, even under a sleeveless dress. I recently scored the below purple Escada number at J.T. Posh, marked down new with tags from retail at $750 to $97.50.  (Definitely need to check out the Posh if you live in the QC!)  I wore the blouse for day paired with a skirt that belonged to my Grandmother and later that night with metallic striped pants from ASOS for the Charlotte Neiman Marcus 10th Anniversary fashion show.

So what do you think of the pussybow?  Like?  If so, here are a few of my favorites for you to shop and enjoy!
