DVF Wrap Dress

What I Wore: Sunday's Best Wrap Dress

A few weeks ago I styled my new DVF leopard print wrap dress under a vintage Lillie Rubin dress, pulled together with a striped fabric belt from the gals at Found.  This past Sunday I reached for the wrap, wearing it as is, for an easy peasy one stop church outfit. Paired with tights and booties for warmth and topped off with my Great Grandmother's needlepoint purse, I was out the door in a jiffy!  I will say I get tons of compliments every time I carry the purse.  Y'all know my affinity for quality vintage.  Wearing vintage allows you to create a high end look that is all your own without spending the mint!  I found some great needlepoint purses on Etsy.  Grab yourself one; you will love carrying such a work of art!

My Favorite DVF For Fall

I've long been a lover of Diane von Furstenberg and all her great fashion designs.  She is a designer, style icon and philanthropist.  Arguably most well known for her epochal wrap dress created in 1974, the dress went on to sooner after boast her notoriety to that of "the most marketable woman since Coco Chanel."  Interestingly, I did not own my first very own DVF wrap dress until last year!  Just like with all my fashion choices, I hold out for JUST the right one.  I went with the one pictured below because the pattern invigorates me and encourages me not to hide from success but to shine bright and be a super star!

I remember seeing one at Saks Fifth Avenue in NYC the first time after Ms. Furstenberg relaunched her company in 1997 with the dress that started it all.  Shop my current (and SALE) DVF items below, and if you are unable to see the images, click on the title of the blog post to shop to your heart's content.
