I hope everyone is having a GREAT Labor Day weekend! In anticipation of the upcoming Chicago Marathon, I kicked my weekend off with a 22 mile run. Yes. That's right, and it was every bit as grueling as it sounds. I've trained for I think six marathons, and these long runs honestly do not get any easier with experience.. at least not for me! It's been a tougher training season for me with my energy pulled in other directions.. mainly that of caring for the Peanuts and paying dem billz, but I am still excited to run in the Windy City with some of my running besties. Unlike the Queen City, the course is flat! It will be my first time running this race and visiting Chicago, so I can't wait for another new experience.
